- !NPL Reset Acorn CMOS Clock from NPL TRUETIME Date: 1994 Nov 27
-
- This program will dial the NPL TRUETIME service
- and reset the CMOS UTC clock in your Acorn Computer.
- It is multitasking, but runs without window or icon-
- bar icon. It will beep and quit when the clock has
- been reset. You can also use "Quit" from the Task
- Manager or let the program timeout (default 30 sec).
- Your modem must support CCITT V22 (1200 baud full
- duplex) and the "Hayes" command set.

- | No warranty is given with this software as to fitness |

- | direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising |
- | from its use. It works for me; I hope it does for you. |

-
- This software is "free". You may use it as you wish, provided you
- do not charge for it (direct/media costs excepted), and you distribute it
- intact and unmodified.
-
- The program sends commands to your modem from the "Messages" file. The
- defaults are:
-
- AT S2=43 Start-up commands (set escape ="+")
- ATDT 0891516333 Dial, Tone, 0891 516 333 (Pulse = ATDP)
- + Escape character
- ATH Hang-up command
- 30 Timeout (seconds).
-
- The file MUST contain five and only five lines. You can extend the three
- "AT" lines if you need extra commands.
-
- To disconnect the modem from the line, the "+" character is sent three times
- slowly followed by a wait of 1.1 seconds, followed by the next line, "ATH".
-
- Typical connect time is 13 seconds, depending the modems at each end.
-
- IMPORTANT
- ---------
- Note that due to an Acorn Risc OS design feature, if you have another
- RS423 terminal program already running the other program will inevitably
- clash with !NPL and vice versa. Quit the other program first.
